Job Description

Job Tasks
  • Provide remote technical support to end-users and clients, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist end-users with IT-related problems, offering clear and concise instructions and guidance.
  • Utilize remote desktop tools to access and troubleshoot users' devices, ensuring minimal disruption to their workflow.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications, ensuring they are running efficiently and securely.
  • Perform remote hardware maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing computer systems, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist in the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network devices, such as routers, switches, and access points.
  • Monitor for security threats and vulnerabilities, and implement security protocols to protect systems and data.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and access permissions as per company policies.
  • Implement and manage data backup solutions, and assist in data recovery efforts in case of system failures.
  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, solutions provided, and hardware/software inventory.
  • Conduct remote training sessions to educate end-users on IT best practices, security awareness, and software usage.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and assist in software audits when necessary.
  • Utilize remote monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve potential IT issues before they impact users.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to address complex technical challenges and projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and make recommendations for hardware and software upgrades or improvements.
  • Ensure IT policies, procedures, and security measures comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Be available for on-call support during off-hours or emergencies, as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in remote IT support or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in remote troubleshooting tools, remote desktop software, and IT management software.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking protocols, and hardware components.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote support team.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ are a plus.
