- Develop and execute email marketing strategies to achieve client or company goals, including lead generation, customer retention, and sales conversion.
- Create engaging and persuasive email content, including subject lines, copy, visuals, and calls to action (CTAs).
- Manage and segment email lists for targeted and personalized email campaigns.
- Conduct A/B tests on email elements (subject lines, content, send times, etc.) to optimize open and click-through rates.
- Set up and maintain email automation workflows for drip campaigns, welcome series, and customer journeys.
- Collaborate with design teams or tools to create visually appealing email templates and ensure brand consistency.
- Monitor and analyze email campaign performance, track key metrics, and generate reports to measure success and make data-driven improvements.
- Ensure emails are delivered to the inbox, manage sender reputation, and address deliverability issues.
- Stay up-to-date with email marketing regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and ensure email campaigns comply with legal requirements.
- Work closely with clients or internal teams to understand campaign objectives, target audiences, and messaging tone.
- Test email campaigns across different email clients and devices to ensure compatibility and troubleshoot rendering issues.
- Implement personalization strategies to create customized email experiences for subscribers.
- Stay informed about email marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to innovate campaigns.
- Implement strategies to grow email subscriber lists organically and through lead generation efforts.
- Monitor and manage spam reports, unsubscribe requests, and bounces.
- Manage email marketing budgets effectively, optimizing spend for maximum ROI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and developers, to execute successful campaigns.
- Continuously optimize email marketing strategies based on performance data, industry benchmarks, and changing customer behavior.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in email marketing, including campaign management and automation.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud).
Strong understanding of email deliverability and compliance. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Creative thinking and a knack for persuasive content.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for email template customization is a plus.
- Certification in email marketing platforms or marketing automation tools is a plus.
